Steve Fitzgibbon – Chief Executive Officer

Steve Fitzgibbon brings 30 years of successful international business development and executive management experience to BAM International, and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company. BAM International is a veteran owned business launched in 1997 that focuses on logistics services, soldier protection and energy related offerings.

Steve led BAM into Liberia in 2014/2015 in support of Operation United Assistance – the US Army’s Africa Command mission to control/eradicate Ebola. BAM played the major logistics role in country, providing over 6,000 line-haul truck deliveries of vital goods and supplies throughout the affected region as well as management of 5 key warehouses and a container cross-docking facility.

Steve is founder and Director of ICPS (Intelligent Card Production Systems) in Ghana. The company was awarded Ghana’s National ID Program contract in 2006 and recently won the 15 year contract for FIMS (Foreign ID Management Systems) in Ghana. The company employs 300 people in the Free Zone in Accra Ghana.

Steve is founder and Director of Sage Research and Management in Ghana (estab. 1996). The company owns Sage Banc Shares and currently owns significant stakes in 8 banks totalling 72 branches along Ghana’s seacoast.

Steve is co-founder and director of Ibistek-Crowley Ghana Limited, a Ghana joint venture bringing a multibillion dollar marine logistics company (Crowley Marine) into a locally registered company established to provide supply ships and logistics support to the booming off-shore oil exploration industry there.
Steve structured funding and acquisition of Third Rail Wireless in the US and led negotiations with Army National Guard and AFMOCONUS (Army Frequency Management Office) resulting in a landmark contract allowing the company to become the first commercial entity to gain contractual access to Dept. of Defense frequencies for operations delivering wireless broadband communication services to the NH bases and armories.

Steve co-founded Africa’s first wireless broadband communication company in 1998 and subsequently led a complex merger/acquisition vending that company and a Third Rail Wireless to a publicly listed Australian company registered on both the Frankfurt and Australian exchanges. Steve served on the board of the listed company until its subsequent sale.

In 2010 Steve represented BAM in Kabul Afghanistan and negotiated with tender competitors resulting in a team bid approach and ultimate contract award for deployment of a military cell phone network.

Steve is a 1983 graduate of University of Massachusetts / Lowell’s College of Engineering with a B.S. in Industrial Technology. Prior to launching his first company in 1985, Steve spent his first two years out of school at Sanders Associates (now BAE) working in the manufacturing engineering group on defence countermeasure programs and held a DOD Secret Clearance.
